Sonya Ofchus is a seasoned entrepreneur and federal and local law enforcement professional with over 25 years of exceptional leadership experience that she brings as the Democratic candidate for Fulton County Commission - District 4.
Entrepreneurial Expertise
For the past 8 years, Sonya has owned and operated L'Amour Chic, a premier provider of private suites for beauty and wellness professionals in Fayetteville, Georgia. She oversees all business operations, procurement, staffing, budgeting, and strategic growth initiatives.
Previously, Sonya co-founded and served as Managing Partner of Host Nation Perspectives SWA from 2010-2017. She directed purchasing, payroll, banking, budget forecasting, and financial reporting in this role. Her strategic vision helped cultivate stakeholder relationships, secure multi-million dollar contracts, identify new funding sources and oversee over 100 NGOs with complex budgeting needs. Sonya's expertise in cost control, auditing, and efficient use of resources allowed her company to save taxpayers millions while earning top performance ratings from USAID.

U.S. Postal Inspector (2004-2015) investigating crimes related to mail/identity theft, fraud, narcotics, and cybercrime
Special Agent for the U.S. Dept of Education OIG (2002-2004) conducting criminal fraud investigations
U.S. Probation Officer (1999-2002) preparing pre-sentence reports
City of Atlanta Police Investigator (1994-1997) focused on organized crime, intelligence, and asset forfeiture
City of Atlanta Police Officer (1986-1994) serving on patrol and investigative teams
